We did this last year and you basically pull into the parking lot and sit on your car. You hardly see anything at all. Too much blocking the fence to see the runway. It use to be awesome years ago to walk up to the planes and a few you were able to see inside of. Of course that was right before 9/11. Now that was a experience. They do however put on a great show on the lake front. Do you get to leave the parking lot? Anything cool there to do for kids who want to be future pilots?? Would love more info Air Force Veteran!
